COVID-19 Testing Centers and Resources across Montana

Updated: Jun 19

Without uniformity of testing sites and protocol across the state, it may be difficult for many to find resources about getting tested for COVID-19 in Montana. Whether a traveler, tourist or full-time resident, having such resources available can help identify clusters and help curb spread of the virus in Montana.

Updated COVID-19 testing information, including antibody testing, can now be found on the State of Montana website. All upcoming state-sponsored testing events are updated here.

Some communities are also offering COVID-19 tests without referrals and/or criteria for symptomatic or pre-symptomatic individuals but many still require a doctor's order or referral. Generally, those seeking a test should contact a care giver or local clinic or seek free testing at one of the free statewide Community Snapshot events.

The state resource hotline is 1-888-333-0461 and more information about contacting individual county health departments can be found here and also from the CDC here.

Note that some tests listed may have costs associated with the procedure or a potential referral unless otherwise specified.

If someone is having severe respiratory symptoms, including shortness of breath, they need to call 911 or a local Emergency Department directly prior to coming in to a medical facility.

Please email reprneill@gmail.com to add information about testing across Montana as it becomes available.
